Layne and I needed one more song to make this record a full length. The album was recorded over the course of ten days in my dad’s crawl space in Toccoa, Georgia. All week long I’d been telling Layne we needed to write a song about the crawl space with creepy lyrics describing what was down there but never really saying why was down there. We were drinking beer one night and when I excused myself to the bathroom I came back and Layne had written the first verse and only one line of the chorus. I was like, “Dude! That chorus is a repeater!” We were going for a Ramones vibe. I quickly jotted down the second verse and within 24 hours the song was completely recorded. I love the way Layne screams the last line of the chorus. We knew right away this song was the album closer!

lyrics
I hear that noise beneath my feet
Crawlin’ around on its hands and knees
I hear it laugh and I hear it moan
I swear that it’s chewing on human bones
Mama, don’t make me clean the crawl space
I see two things that look like eyes
Is it a shapeshifter like Pennywise?
Mama, I don’t wanna go down there
My hands are shakin, I’m so damn scared
