After Layne & I recorded The Time Travelers EP in 2021 we went on a road trip to check out different skate parks around the country. When we got to Denver I bought a copy of The Satanic Rituals by Anton Lavey and read it in between drives. I felt like there had to be something in there that would fit the vibe of our band lyrically. Ritual #2, “L’air Epais,” stood out to me the most because it requires a coffin and The Time Travelers logo is a coffin. I’m not a satanist, I’m an atheist but Layne loved the song so we ran with it! After the trip I gave the book to our friend, Alejandro Yanez. You should check out his band, The Future Ancients!
